CAUSE STALKING
"Cause stalking" is an alternate term for organized stalking.
It is groups of people who think they are supporting some "cause," but
are more interested in harassing targets designated by their leaders.
Lies told by the leaders "add fuel to the fire." An extensive explanation
of cause stalking can be found in the book "Cause
Stalking" by David Lawson.
According to attorney Brian Glick, author of the book about COINTELPRO
titled "War at Home", the story of COINTELPRO, one of the activities
exposed in the late 1970s by the U.S. Senate's [Senator Frank] Church
Committee hearings, is on file in the FBI's Washington DC public reading
room.
Paul Wolf's excellent site for COINTELPRO research may be found at:
Other terms referring to organized stalking: Cause stalking, harassment
clubs, covert war, stalking groups, stalking by proxy.
COINTELPRO
A series of covert crimes against dissenters of all stripes within
the United States during the Cold War and extending to Viet Nam protesters
and anti-racism elements. These crimes included infiltration of activist
groups, and total destruction of lives and reputations, as well as property
by frequent break-ins. The FBI was the main perpetrator organization.
COINTELPRO type activity is in fact CLASSIC organized stalking activity.
HARASSMENT CLUB
"Harassment club" is a conversational term which very well describes
the mindset of many stalking group members. Many consider their "work"
as at least partly being a "game" at the target's expense.
MULTIPLE STALKING
Alternative term for organized stalking. Stalking of a target person by
more than one perpetrator, which is notably different from the widely known
cases involving single stalkers. As of February 2009, organized stalking
is not recognized by most of the public or public officials as "genuine"
stalking. Correcting this misconception is the purpose of this web site.
ORGANIZED STALKING
"Organized stalking" is the term most likely to create an accurate
mental image of the crime in the minds of people unaware of the crime.
Organized stalking is stalking of a designated target based on lies
told about the target by stalking group leaders. While single stalker
stalking has received attention from the justice system since the early
1990s, organized stalking has been officially ignored. A few police
officers and doctors have confided in targets that they know this crime
is really happening, but because the crime is officially denied, these
officials are unable to provide genuine help.
PERP(S)
"Perps" are perpetrators carrying out the organized stalking crimes.
